Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park
You will depart Nairobi in the Morning with a 1st Class train seat towards Mtito Andei. Upon arrival at the SGR station, our tour guide will pick you for transfer to the lodge. You will then check in and have a rest as you enjoy the lodges’ facilities and later on have your lunch. After lunch, you will have a short rest before departing for your afternoon game drive in the park where you will also get a chance to visit the artefacts museum at Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa. Later on you will go back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Tsavo is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries, with an estimated size of 22,000Km2. It is most popular for its dust covered red elephant herds, its maneless lions and a variety of other wild animals including leopards, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo and other plains game. You will then check in and enjoy lunch followed by some relaxation.
Day 2: Tsavo East National Park
On this day, you will have your breakfast before going for a game drive. During your game drive, you will have a chance of seeing the big cats of Tsavo and other animals like the elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plants and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler. Later on go back to the lodge for your lunch and a short rest before going for an afternoon game drive.
Day 3: Tsavo East National Park – Nairobi / Mombasa
After your breakfast in the morning, you will leave the lodge with an en-route game drive to the train station for your train back to Nairobi. Thus completing this wonderful safari with us. Thus completing the 3 days Tsavo East safari.
