13 Days, Kenya Safari and Beach vacation

  • This 13 - day luxury Kenya Safari and Beach holidays itinerary will introduce you to the raw beauty of our Kenya.

The safari will start with pick up from the airport, followed by the drive to the Northern Kenya's Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Samburu National Reserves, some of the most scenic destinations beyond compare.

We will later drive southerwards to head to the world-famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve for an up-close and personal experience with the Big Five.

Our three days in Masai Mara national reserve will be an enlightening reasons for you to agree why it has been voted the best national park by the World travel awards for 6 years since 2015.

One of the reason to experience before hand is the ability to spot the big 5 in their native home, and over 500 bird species, and plants and animal species that cannot be spotted anywhere else in the world.

It's only in Samburu National Reserve where you will get a one-on-one with Samburu 5, gerenuk, somali ostrich, reticulated girafe, beisa oryx and the Grevy’s Zebra.

On the last 5 days towards the end of our 13 days, Luxury Kenya safari tour and beach vacation itinerary, we will head to the Kenyan coast for that therapeutic beach time.

Here, you will get a chance to explore its marine life, white sand beaches, islands, and the rich culture and cuisines of the Swahili people.

Details of this luxury Kenya tour and more are as stated in the detailed itinerary in the next tab.

This ia a 13- day luxury Kenya Safari and Beach holidays / tour with an exciting all-inclusive accommodation safari package. It's eligible for everyone from any region of the world looking an experience to one of the eight wonders of the world alongside one of the award-winning Diani beach, which has been voted Africa’s leading beach destination for the sixth time in a row by the World Travel Awards.

Day 1 of Your Best Tour in Kenya: Arrival in Nairobi, Road-Trip to Nanyuki & Evening Game Drive.

On your arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our private tour director shall be at hand to receive and warmly welcome you to our beautiful country.

We are always at the airport at least one hour before our clients’ scheduled arrival time. Ours is to make the beginning of your safari in Kenya as smooth as possible.

After introductions, we shall board our comfortable 4×4 safari land cruisers and start your luxury safari in Kenya with a road trip to the Ol Pajeta Conservancy.

This conservancy is situated smack in the middle of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares ranges.

It has a huge wildlife population but only covers 364sq km, making it the park with the highest game-to-area ratio in Kenya.

On a Kenyan safari holiday to Ol Pajeta, you have the best chance to see the Big Five in their natural habitat.

The trip will take approximately three and a half hours.

We shall arrive just in time for lunch right after checking in, followed by a brief rest period and a chance for you to freshen up.

At 3.00 pm, our guide will promptly pick you up for the first game drive of your luxury Kenya tour package – an evening game drive in Ol Pejeta conservancy.

Here, we shall meet Baraka, the famous Rhino who calls 100 acres of Ol Pajeta his home.

Unfortunately, Baraka suffered some eye infections and cataracts a while back and lost his vision.

Nonetheless, he is the most popular attraction at the conservancy and an ambassador for Rhino conservation.

The conservancy affords you a rare opportunity to bottle feed and bond with Baraka.

Equestrians can extend the interaction with the Rhinos by going horse riding the 600-acre predator-free enclosure.

The horses are excellently trained safari horses.

The riding session will bring you up close with the planet’s only two northern white Rhinos! The two are the only ones still in existence globally.

Another main safaris attraction during our game drives in Ol-Pejeta is the majestic lions, elephants, and buffaloes.

Also, in abundance, are Hippos, Hyenas, Bat-eared Fox, Dik Diks, Elands, Impalas, Jackals, Gazelles, African Wild Dogs, and Giraffes.

Accommodation: Morani Wing Sweetwaters or Porini Rhino camp

    Meal plan: Full board

Day 2 of Your Kenya Tours: Full Day Game Drives in Ol-Pejeta

On the second day of the all-inclusive Kenya safari package, we shall take off at 6.00 am for a full-day game drive.

The conservancy has highly diverse and varied habitats made up of wetlands, semi-arid grasslands, riverine forests, and woodlands.

The main focus, however, will be getting to know the Kenyan culture, its people, and to sample the local cuisine while at it!

Ol Pajeta harbours an Environmental and Conservation centre dedicated to promoting ecology, culture, and wildlife management.

It is here that you shall have a chance to learn exciting facts about the Kenyan people- the Maasai, Pokot, Samburu, and Turkana.

We shall then have lunch at the Morani restaurant and then get ready for our night drive, where you get the chance to see nocturnal predators such as the Bat-eared Fox and the Leopard in action.

Accommodation: Morani Wing Sweetwaters or Porini Rhino camp

    Meal plan: full board.

Day 3 of Your Kenya Safari Tour – Ol Pejeta to Samburu Game Reserve – Evening Game Drive

On the morning of the third day of your Kenya safari holiday, we shall switch gears a bit and head off to the Samburu Game Reserve.

The trip will take approximately 3-4 hours.

Upon arrival and check-in, we shall proceed to have lunch, after which we shall leave you to relax and refresh.

In the early evening, we shall go for an evening game drive on the 165Sq. Km Reserve.

Samburu is where a miracle Lioness (christened ‘Kamunyak’) adopted a baby oryx!

Here, aside from the scores of big cats and birds, you can expect to see rare specialist species of animals!

Known as the Samburu Special Five, these include the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, the Gerenuk (also known as a Giraffe- Gazelle due to the long neck), the Somali Ostrich, and the Beisa Oryx.

The quintet that forms the ‘Samburu Special Five’ is exclusive to the Samburu Reserve and cannot be found anywhere else in Kenya.

This will be followed by a bush dinner as we wind down the action-packed day.

Accommodation: Elephant Bedroom camp or Ashnil Samburu camp

    Meal plan: Full board.

Day 4 of Your Kenya Holiday Package: We Dive Deep Into Samburu Game Reserve. Flight to Mara & Bush Dinner.

On our fourth day, we take a deeper look at what Samburu has to offer.

As always, our expedition shall begin in the early morning; After a hearty breakfast, we shall head off on a full day game viewing expedition.

Against the backdrop of Africa’s beautiful early sunrise, expect to encounter the early batch of predators featuring Lionesses on the prowl.

We shall then make a pit stop at the massive Ewaso Ng’iro River, a famous watering hole for all the animals.

It is a spot where we have a great chance of seeing major animal drama, as both predator and prey seek to quench their thirst and, for some, sate their hunger.

The River also presents a unique opportunity to take fantastic safari photos for posterity.

This will be followed by lunch, and in the afternoon, we shall interact with the Samburu, a nomadic people whose show-stopping traditional jewellery and fashion are worth beholding.

At 4 pm, we shall catch a flight to the Masai Mara and check-in at the Basecamp Masai Mara.

Here, you will relax and unwind with a bush dinner, enjoy the night as we gear up for the full day ahead.

Accommodation: Basecamp Masai mara or AA Lodge Mara

    Meal plan: full board.

Day 5 of Your Safari in Kenya – Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara

Our luxury safari in Kenya continues on the sixth day after a hearty breakfast at the Base Camp Masai Mara.

We shall set out on a day-long game drive in this African savannah where you will meet the African Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard, and Rhino, also collectively known as ‘The Big Five.’

Of the five, the Lion remains the King of the jungle and Africa’s top predator; although the African Buffalo has been known to kill more humans than the Lion.

Unlike its cousin the Water Buffalo, the African Buffalo has never been domesticated and remains wildly aggressive.

As for the Elephants, they have been known to communicate across vast distances only using foot vibrations!

On the other hand, Rhinos are the most endangered of the lot. Did you know that Rhinos have poor vision?

So much so that they have been reported to sometimes attack trees and boulders by mistake!

Of the Big Five, the agile Leopard is the most elusive, a trait enhanced by the fact that the Leopard is a nocturnal hunter.

On day 5 of your Kenya safari and beach holiday, you will enjoy witnessing these impressive beasts up-close.

The great wildebeest migration is a great treat for those who book our Kenya luxury safari packages between July and October.

Every year, over 2 Million Wildebeest accompanied by hundreds of thousands of other herbivores, make a dangerous voyage from the Serengeti in Tanzania.

To get to Kenya’s Masai Mara game reserve, the animals have to cross the Crocodile rich Mara River.

This migration is the largest overland migration in the world. And the danger for the migrating herds is not limited to the Crocodiles. Over 3,000 Lions follow the migrating herds from Tanzania into Kenya

These migrant herds are all the more amazing because even in their enormous numbers, they cover a distance of 800 to 1000 kilometres at an approximate speed of 64Km/hr.!

Even more astonishing is that this thunderous exodus is so synchronized that the animals neither bump into each other nor stray off course!

Scientists have termed this phenomenon of organized relocation as “‘swarm intelligence.”

If your safari in Kenya coincides with this wonder, you shall get to see it up close; courtesy of our all-inclusive Kenya safaris from Nairobi.

Accommodation: Basecamp Masai Mara or AA Lodge Mara

    Meal plan: Full board

Day 6 of Your Luxury Kenya Holiday – Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

On our second day in the Mara, we shall embark on a full day game drive, this time on the lookout for any wildlife we may have missed on day one.

Rest assured, there will be scores of animals on this second round as well, as no two game drives in the Mara are quite the same.

Accommodation: Basecamp Masai Mara or AA Lodge Mara

    Meal plan: full board.

Day 7 of Your Luxury Safari to Kenya: Hot air balloon/ Masai village visit

A hot air balloon cruise is a staple in our Kenya luxury safari package.

Nothing is as spectacular as a sunrise or a sunset in the Mara, viewed while aboard a hot air balloon.

It is the perfect ride that maximizes your Kenya safari tour by enabling you to see the nooks and crannies of the Mara that were otherwise invisible while on the ground.

You will be able to see the savannah in all its splendour like never before.

The hour-long balloon rides will also be a surreal experience in the sense that even the noise on the ground somehow all seems diminished while one is in the air.

It is indeed an opportunity to peacefully float over the drama on the ground without missing a second of the action.

After the balloon ride, we shall take you on a tour of a Maasai village, where you will get to interact with the Maasai, one of Kenya’s most iconic people.

You will have an opportunity to witness their simple way of life which belies the richness of their culture.

We will then return to the hotel in time for lunch. We will let you relax, and at 3:00 pm, we will head out for the evening game drive.

Later, we will return to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Accommodation: Basecamp Masai Mara or AA Lodge Mara

    Meal plan: Full board.

Day 8 of Your All-Inclusive Kenya Holiday Package – Flight to Diani Beach

On the 8th day, we shall change the scenery by leaving the bush for the beach.

Our country is a haven for many attractions, all top of their class and our beaches are no different.

    We may leave the Aberdare National Park for the coast in two ways depending on your preference;

    We either board a flight from the park to the JKIA Airport in Nairobi, then take another flight to Diani or;

We can take a short trip back to the Masai Mara from the Aberdare National Park then a direct flight from Mara to Diani.

Whichever route you opt for, be sure to enjoy the beautiful Kenyan countryside as you cruise onboard your 45-minute long flight.

Accommodation: Diani Sea lodge or Diani Sea Resort

    Meal plan: All-inclusive

Day 9 of Your All-Inclusive Kenya Beach and Safari Package – Full-Day Deep Sea Fishing & Sunset Camel Walk

We shall begin our beach and sea adventures with a deep-sea fishing expedition, which will start at 6.30 am and last for 9 hours.

Typically, the boat crew will give a safety briefing before we venture out into the open sea.

Our knowledgeable boat Captain will be on the lookout to get the largest schools of our target fish species.

The beauty of deep-sea fishing in Diani is that we always have fresh bait, which increases our chances of a more splendid catch.

Our trip out into the deep sea fishing hotspots will take us anywhere between 15- 45 minutes.

We will then drop anchor and set up our fishing lines with the assistance of our capable crew.

Depending on your skill level, you may opt to hook your bait and reel in your catch.

Nonetheless, the Captain is always at hand to assist you where need be. So, even for novices, it is a fantastic learning experience!

Diani is well known for its schools of billfish, particularly the Sailfish and Blue Marlin.

Here, you get the incredible opportunity of tagging these mammoths and taking photographs with them for posterity.

And worry not, because, in the spirit of conservatism, we will promptly release them back into the sea to ensure their survival.

As for food and refreshments, Tea, Coffee, and an assortment of local delicacies shall make their way onto your table shortly after we leave the beach.

Also at hand will be soft drinks and lots of drinking water as well as traditional sandwiches.

Depending on the tide and hopefully after an action-filled 9 hours of fishing, we shall moor back to the beach.

At around 4.30 pm, you can head for a romantic stroll on the beach (or a camel ride on the beach).

Later on, after a warm dinner and winding down after the busy day, be sure to be on the lookout for a special surprise that the hotel has in store for you as we usher in the New Year.

Accommodation: Diani Sea lodge or Diani Sea Resort

The ivory beaches and azure waters framed by gently swaying palms lull you into an indescribable yet otherworldly calm.

On this day, we organize an enchanting dinner cruise, which will begin with a welcome cocktail at 6.30 pm.

After an enthralling diving experience, our trip will draw to a close at around 1:00 pm, when we shall return to the hotel for a hearty lunch.

We will leave you to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

Later at 4:00 pm, you will head out for the Covid test and return to your hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Accommodation: Diani Sea Lodge or Diani sea Resort

    Meal Plan: All-inclusive.

Day 12 of Your Kenya Safari and Beach Holiday: Wasini Island Day Trip – Diving, Snorkeling, and more.

While Diani makes time stand still, Wasini Island makes time fly!

Each of these two destinations does its thing in a great and remarkable way, and each leaves us captivated differently.

Wasini is an Island away from the bustling town of Mombasa, and her bedazzling sites have a way of reminding us of nature’s majesty.

For most first-timers to the Island, its peaceful and virgin features are a surprising yet welcome respite from the busy, noisy city life.

The sea always seems just a bit bluer, the shores golden and the palms greener in Wasini.

Expect to enjoy Whale and Dolphin spotting, swimming, and diving at the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park.

The park has picturesque, rich coral gardens, and snorkeling on a clear day is always bound to rejuvenate you.

Our Wasini day trip will begin at 6 am when we shall pick you up from the hotel and end at around 5.30 pm.

Accommodation: Diani sea lodge or Diani Sea Resort

    Meal plan: All-inclusive.

Day 13 of Kenya Beach and Safari Package – Sunrise Beach Walk and Flight Back Home.

It is the final day of your Kenya vacation, but we hope it will not be the last.

It has been an honor to be of service to you.

Our plan on this day is to leave the morning to you to enjoy the hotel and beach walks as you reminisce on the previous 14 days’ adventure.

Diani is generally hot, so it is okay to wake up early and go for a sunrise beach walk.

Your hotel is located right on the beach. Enjoy your breakfast by the pool, order drinks, and relax.
