The lodge which is 314 km from Nairobi is accessible by road or by air. A flight takes 45 minute from Nairobi to Shaba or Samburu airstrip using road through the picturesque drive along the curving roads around Mt. Kenya crossing the equator at Nanyuki, will take approximately 5 hours.
Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is set along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River laid out around the natural springs that flow into the river. Additionally the Lodge has a virtual mini forest of indigenous trees, a fish pond and a large free form swimming pool.
As hinted to you earlier, your prime achievement will be to see the rare and unique wildlife species explore the Samburu, Shaba, and Buffalo Springs game reserves in northern Kenya. Among the animals you will see shall be among them the endangered species such as oryx, gerenuk, Somali ostriches, zebra, reticulated giraffe.
