2 Days 1 Night Masai Mara Safari Package

  • Masai Mara is one of the most popular safari destinations in the world, and for good reason. It offers a unique opportunity to witness some of the most incredible wildlife in their natural habitat.

The vast plains of Masai Mara are home to a diverse range of animals, from wildebeest and zebras to cheetahs and hyenas. The highlight of the safari is, of course, the Big Five - lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos. These majestic animals are a sight to behold, and seeing them up close and personal is an experience you'll never forget.

The Maasai community is an important part of the Masai Mara experience. The Maasai people are a semi-nomadic tribe that has lived in the region for centuries. They have a rich culture and traditions passed down from generation to generation.

When you visit Masai Mara, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the Maasai way of life, their customs, and their beliefs. You'll also have the chance to interact with them and better understand their culture.

At night, you'll retire to a luxurious tented camp where you can unwind and relax after a day of adventure. The tents are equipped with all the modern amenities, including comfortable beds, hot showers, and even Wi-Fi.

You'll also be treated to delicious meals prepared by expert chefs using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. And as you gaze up at the starry sky, you'll be serenaded by the sounds of the wild - a truly magical experience.

In conclusion, if you're looking for an adventure of a lifetime, look no further than Masai Mara. With its stunning scenery, incredible wildlife, and rich culture, it's a destination that should be on everyone's bucket list.

You will arrive at the launch site by 6 AM. Watch the balloons being prepared for take-off. You will then meet your pilot, who will give you a safety briefing as well as explain what you can expect during your flight.

You will then be loaded into your balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise, at about 6:30 AM. The flight will last approximately one hour, depending on wind conditions, and the balloon will land between 7:30 and 7:45 AM.

Upon landing, you can observe the complete deflation of the balloon envelope. Our vehicles will then transport you a short distance to breakfast.

    BREAKFAST.

Our breakfast is set up on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara, typically under the shade of a single balanite tree. You will sit down to a full bush breakfast in the Kenyan style, complete with eggs-to-order, fresh juices, fruits, cereals & of course sparkling wine.

During breakfast, you can also peruse the photos your pilot has taken during the flight, and decide whether you would like to purchase the photos or any of the other Hot Air Safaris
    merchandise on display.

After breakfast, at about 9 AM, you will have a brief game drive back to your camp /lodge or meet up with your driver-guide for an onward itinerary. Depending on what you find along the way, the game drive usually takes about one and a half hours.

Our drivers are all experienced safari guides who have earned their “bronze” level guiding certificate from the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association. Our drivers have also undertaken strict in-house training to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your game drive.

Entry Requirements for U.S. Passport Holders.
For details on various countries based on the U.S. State Department information, please check with the consular office of the countries you plan to visit and/or click here.

Double Entry and Multiple Entry Visas.
Some itineraries might involve entering a country, leaving, and then later re-entering the same country. In such a case, you will require a double-entry or multiple-entry visa.
When contacting a foreign consular representative, describe your itinerary clearly.

    Types of Visa
There are two types of visas, single entry and East Africa Tourist Visa. Please find your tour below to ensure you purchase the correct one.

    Carry on Luggage.
We urge you to pack the items you would be without if your checked bags were lost in your carry-on bag. Prescription medications, eyeglasses, a change of clothes, a mobile phone and charger, valuables (including jewelry and cash), a passport, keys, insurance cards, and local contact information are a few things to keep in mind.

    DESTINATION INFORMATION

    Arrive On Time.

You should plan to check in at least three hours before the scheduled departure time for international flights and two hours prior to the scheduled departure time for domestic flights due to additional security checks.

    Connecting Passengers.
Connecting passengers from other US locations should check their bags all the way to their final destination. Some airlines, do not permit the "interlining" of checked bags, and each destination flight's luggage is checked separately.

    Destination Landing and Eventual Departure.
Please finish all immigration procedures upon arrival and retrieve your bags. Check your voucher for detailed instructions if your program involves airport arrival shuttles as they differ depending on the destination.

    Transfer.
We kindly suggest that you give our representative 30 minutes extra time from the time of your booked transfer due to local traffic and other unavoidable situations.
Transfers to and from the airport are included. You shouldn't worry about being late for your tour because such potential delays are taken into account when booking transfers.

    During Game Safaris.

Ensure to pack your items in a soft-sided duffel bag and pack lightly due to the constrained space in safari vehicles. It is not recommended to use conventional luggage with rigid frames or hard plastic panels.

Please be aware that there is an environmental prohibition on single-use plastic bags.

    ABOUT ACCOMMODATION & MONEY

    About Your Accommodations.
Each hotel is chosen with care, taking into account its overall quality, location, cost, food, service, and cleanliness. Standard twin-bedded (two single beds) rooms with private bathrooms are available in every room. Many of the accommodations are built in the traditional local style and have no air-conditioning. Some of our tours require walking or stairs between tents. During this tour, you may come into proximity to wild animals whose actions can be unpredictable.

Unless otherwise specified, choosing a room is always completely up to the hotel's management on a run-of-house basis.

    Electricity in Safari Camps.
Some camps and lodges rely on generators to supply electricity, which may not always be available. Travelers who are using power-dependent devices must inform the travel manager in advance so that arrangements can be made to keep them plugged on through the night.

    Electricity Specification
Please note: The U.S. uses 120 volts and you can purchase a converter and transformer at most hardware stores for your 120V appliances.
Kenya - The voltage used is 220/240 volts, 3-pin square (UK standard)
Tanzania - The voltage used is 230 volts, 3-pin square (UK standard).

Hotels will typically let you store your stuff in their luggage room if you're planning on arriving early or leaving late. If the hotel can check you in earlier or let you stay later, inquire at the front desk.

    Currency.
Before you leave your country, we advise that you get a small quantity of currency for the first country you'll be visiting. A smart strategy is to avoid carrying too much cash.
The majority of ATM cards are accepted by ATMs in many different countries but only dispense in the local currency.

    Credit Cards
Even while credit cards are generally accepted, it is still a good idea to have local cash on hand. To prevent your card from being stopped for security concerns, let your credit card issuer know you will be traveling.
